Month and Year not Progressing

I just installed the php event calendar, and am trying to view to the next month, but it is not allowing me to. I copied and pasted the components that were needed, but it is not advancing.
What can I do to fix it?
Please help.

Oh info on my server is it is not running php 5. It is php 4. something.

Edit: I have placed the code in a php file, and then put it on an html file, so, when I am trying to advance to another year or month, it is trying to redirect to the html file.
And I am not able to figure out the fix.

provide the web address and temporary ftp access to your calendar directory.

IS there anyway you can just tell me what to fix. I find where to put the fix, if you can tell me what to change.
